My first package for iNews this semester. It's a "look live" which means that since our school doesn't actually have either a microwave or satellite truck to do live shots with in order to gain live experience we fake it. That's why it begins and ends as it does. I'm pretending to be speaking live to the anchors in the studio.
The auditions were fun to attend and shoot, and overall I'm pretty happy with how this package came out. This is different slightly from the one that aired because I changed my ending "live" stand up. I flubbed up speaking a bit on the one that aired, but there was more time at the end to give the TD a chance to switch back to the anchor before our illusion of being live was ruined. So I used that one. I liked this take better unfortunately I cut my end padding too short so I felt I should use the other take instead for the broadcast (podcast?) version.
My producer just walked into room to tell me that she loved my look live and that its the best she's seen come from iNews yet. I'm feeling very happy about that.
